When She Was Queen (A Continuation of Demon Head) by Obad Ul

When time was right When earth was damp When I walked When she was queen When it was time to meet the creator I was still, and time flew It was like a harsh winter wind When I cared to see When it was brilliant light She went to kill I was dead in her wake When she was queen I was still and time flew It was like a harsh winter wind I loved messed locks I loved the earthy essence She smelled of dust I had drank for a life When she was queen She killed as it was wanted I was still and time flew It was like a harsh winter wind I am suspended in time Dead in her wake...

A Journey of Life by Abdullah Riaz

And he falls to the ground again Lets out a cry of frustration and pain As sharp rocks graze against his face. Looks into a nearby puddle; formed by the falling rain There was a new bloody gash among the many scars A portrait of his adolescent wars. Just then, a mocking thunder roars And the venomous rain of insults continues to pour He wants to hide, but there is no shelter The words wear him away, make him think he does not matter He tries to run, but he can only stagger For there is a heavy weight, of responsibilities and expectations, on his shoulder. The stinging rain continues to tear him apart Like thorns being jammed into his heart He can feel his self-worth slowly burn As he continues to traverse the mountain he is on. It is dark, he can barely see The peak of the mountain clouded with uncertainty. Suddenly, he comes to a stop as he realizes The path he is following has now turned into a climb. He stands there and lets the rage build inside He wants to giv...

From Dusk till Dawn

Whispers in the dark Are not enough to endorse our love Autumn-worn leaves eternally dropping from above Just a sign of our condition Hesitation marks on your wrists After the last time we kissed And babe it ain’t like I haven’t missed Those lips as soft as a baby’s bottom Maybe it’s time for it to end Maybe we can be friends again I just wanna hold you   Just wanna hold on to you Never letting you go Baby I wanna make love all night long From Dusk till Dawn So that our long-lost romance would again show Tears of joy Are water droplets that can destroy In this world of romance I’m unemployed I'm alone and annoyed Tell me if it’s alright please At least be a bit of a tease How you used to strike a blow at the crease Of my heart that's now always on a lease Maybe it wasn’t heaven-sent Maybe you needed consent To respawn in our sad short story And reignite its former glory...

Death Song

Was love too much to ask for Or was daydreaming about it enough? Was hate too much to live for Or was trying to get out of it not connected with love? Your voice is angelic Blows out all of Hell’s fires My choice is perfect But will you include me in your list of poetic liars? You sing lullabies at night to your sweethearts For me you produced a Death Song I am yet to know when my funeral starts Was love just too wrong? And I still love you Though my heart’s bleeding And I still owe you As I lay dying…

Death-defying

They said we'll never make it They said we're just for show And I couldn't take it But now we've made it Took the risk, got what we came for No more living in the shadows of what we craved for Trap us in World War Z anytime We'll escape relentlessly every time Our Death-defying romance lives on We are alive In the fantasy we dreamt of Together each day and night They said we looked bittersweet They said we were just pretending to be Maybe they were right In another life Gave it a crack of what we dreamt of Heard Cupid's music with the sound turned off Living big until we fade off This earth ain't anything without us on So please tell me if true love exists 'Cause if not I think I've found it Discovery of the century With my arm around it She's all I have Saved me from my sudden death My long-life other half Until death...
